Default What wire is this???

Driver's side front, leading to what appears to be behind the gauge cluster.





It does not appear to be something new, unless its something I wouldn't notice. Only problem I'm having now with the car is minor and unrelated to anything electrical.

look like an alarm siren, does the car have aftermarket alarm?

looks like it goes to that pepboys siren... remve it, i cant work being disconnected.

Thanks guys. So thats what that thing is, a siren.

Just to confirm, the consensus is I can cut the red wire as well and remove the item to the bottom left (which is attached by the phillips head screw in the pic), correct?
