Default fuel pump install question

ok, i was following the sticky at the top of the page, I have the walbro 255, I got it from texas speed, The connector hooks to the fuel pump but the other side doesn't connect to anything, it is a male plug and I think it should be a female so I was wondering if I should just cut the connector off and splice into the wires from the stock pump, I believe all they are is positive and negative right? Any suggestions or am I just really that tired?

You cut the factory connector off and splice to the fuel pump.

Grey is hot and black is ground, use a good shrink type connector and a good double crimp tool.
