Default Gaskets for boost

Last night I was running a buddy of mine and I heard a little exhaust leak before we ran I thought no big deal. Well after we ran the ticket was louder and i reved to hear it and it was backfiring pretty loud. Got under it today and I blew out one of my header gaskets. I was running the perseys seal for good gaskets. They are the quad layer I believe, Any how I was wanting to know if anyone had any problems with this and could tell me what a good gasket for headers is for boosted cars. The highest boost I run is 8lbs. Also i was wondering if anyone has heard or dealt with the NGK TR6 race series plugs. I am currenly running the TR6 but I dont know if there is such a thing as "race series" TR6 . Thanks alot sorry for the long post.
