Default egr valve/hose on a 2002????

I noticed my 02 T/A has an EGR hose hooked up to the manifold, didn't GM get rid of the EGR for the 2002 models?

Sure its not the AIR system? If not, some1 put a pre 01 motor in that car at some point, no way the factory did it.

Yep, either you are confusing the AIR system for the EGR system, or you have a non-stock EGR system installed for whatever reason.

Easy to tell..... this hose you speak of, does it connect to the top of the intake right behind the throttle body? If not, then you are looking at the AIR system.

Yes, I believe it is the air hose, it's funny because my friend(who works at a dealership) supposedly thought he was right when he corrected me by saying it was an egr hose. He also had told me that the 2002 models shouldn't have anything attached to the manifold. Not a big deal, but if I was to swap out for headers in the future, this could create a problem.
