Can i put 315's on my c5's 9.5 rims

Can i put 315's on my c5's 9.5 rims I searched and it did not say that i could not fit these, but it did say that i can fit a 285. Maybe some of you have done this sucessfully and can recomend a good tire that will fit. I wanted to get some bfg's but they said that these will not fit on my rims. Thanks

Thanks for assisting our member with good advice, but, we will end this discussion, since someone will chime in with bad advice.
I strongly sugggest taking advantage of the Tire Racks tire specification pages, they give all the manufacturer's recommendations.
