I ran it without a tune and then tuned . Never had any problems though you may want to tune first just to for peace of mind .

thats not true. so if i had an exhaust leak , and had it fixed with a different muffler the car needs to be recalibrated. sorry but that makes no sense.

I've always loved hearing somebody talk about "not enough backpressure" or "an engine needs SOME backpressure to run properly". Seems to be the oldest myth in the car world and it's COMPLETE BS!!

Yea backpressure is BS, but what really matters is exhaust gas velocity. If you don't have enough velocity you will lose power, like if your header primaries are too large.

There is a difference with Backpressure, and "backpressure needed for tq". That is the myth. Of course there is such a thing as backpressure. Stock exhausts have tons of backpressure because they just don't flow that great. But the myth that you need backpressure is what we're talking about. You never need backpressure, it's always bad.

Sure, get your sawzall out. Cut that sucker off as long as you can deal with the noise, you will make more power.
Of course I may be wrong........maybe you should try calling up some pro-stock race teams and try to sell them some 1.5" exhaust systems to put behind their 800+ci engines so they can make more power with backpressure.

maybe if you tested it yourself, youd know. The government says a 757 hit the pentagon. Does that make it true?? Do your own experiements or you will never know. My car hauls *** open headers compared to y-pipe & gmmg. Myth busted
