Default Can't Decide on Which hptuners os

I want to buy a 1 bar os for my car, hptuners that is. Up till this point i haven't tuned for maf however i still have a maf installed on my car.

I can't decide whether to go with an speed density os or a maf os. Or can you still do either one once you buy the os?

Anyways, what is a better option? I am tuning with a wideband, no access to a dyno as of yet but i may be able to eventually. I have heard that you have better control on fueling with sd and can make more power but ive heard other claims that the power is the same.

Our MAF custom OS & SD custom OS are two separate entities...you can view more info about them here http://www.hptuners.com/forum/showth...9644#post59644

Personally I prefer the SD custom operating system Because it gives you over the maf OS:
functionality of the high/low octane tables when in SD
adds VE multiplyer(Alpha-N)
Allows you to tune the VE table in real time
Rids you of any secondary VE tables

the ONLY thing the maf custom OS has over the SD one is that you can tune the maf in real time...IMO too many positives for the SD one still. Oh and by the way you can still keep the maf enabled & functional with the SD custom os

What he said. Get the SD, and when you're satisfied with the VE tune, correct the MAF with the WBO2 error %, enable it, and turn on STFTs.

SD it is

Now in essence, once i get the car running, is it better to go maf or sd mode?

I always try to get the maf back in the picture when at all possible.
