Default Help choosing tires

Ive got a 99 SS with the 10 spoke 17" chrome SS wheels, i think they are 9" but im not sure, would I have any problems with 315's or should I go with a smaller tire and what size, and also some ideas on different brands and what you have had luck with, good traction, decent wear, altho I know there not gonna last too long anyway. Thanks for the help.

The stock wheels will not safely fit 315s, you can get them widened if you really must have 315s.

Do you ever need to worry about snow? Also a budget might be nice.

something around the 600 dollar range, 500 to 700 or so, and they dont have to be 315's, does anybody make like a 285 or 295? No snow, car stays put in the snow. Thanks

Your best bet is probbly the stock size again, 275/40R17.

www.tirerack.com is the bestest imo. I use fuzion ZRIs low cost great for what they are too.

275/40ZR17 or 285/40ZR17 are your only options.

275 or 285.

I like the firestone wide ovals, the kumho mx for the price/performance ratio. I have had both. I really likin gmy wide ovals.
