Exclamation pvc? flycutting?

i just ordered a h/c from tsp. i got the MS3 cam 237/242 .603/.609" 112 lsa and PRC Stg 2.5 5.3L Heads with the 2.04"intake/1.575"exhaust valves. am i going to have pvc issues? is flycutting needed with this cam and valve setup?

Ask TSP. Unless the valves are seated very deep you are asking for trouble if you don't notch. I had to notch with unmilled 5.3's and a Comp XER 228/230 and my intakes were only 2.02". What gets you is a over rev or valve float. Better safe than sorry.

I had to flycut w/ TRAK cam (232/234 .595/.645 112LSA) and Patriot CNC'd 243 heads w/ 2.02"/1.57" valves.....I was told by everybody that I would not need to flycut, but when I clayed it, the valves hit the pistons. My heads are not milled other than Patriots "cleanup" mill.

~Don't take others experience/word for it and just test it yourself so then you are confident it'll clear. Just my .02

someone just brought the issue to my attention today...tried to call tsp after work, but couldn't get threw. i ask one of the "john's" at tsp when i put my order in about the pvc issue and he said it would be fine. i'll try to get ahold of him again tomorrow to make sure that it is. i can't really afford for there to be a problem like that. hopefully they can change the valves before they ship them if there is a problem.

if you guys remember correctly, I had this SAME dillema not a month ago( it was documented in my thread I have going in Multimedia Exchange entitled "MY PROJECT ALMOST DONE"), wound up sending the heads back for the smaller 2.02" valve FOR THIS VERY SAME REASON, had to flycut with the 2.04" but not the 2.02"...I am also running the MS3...
That was from Jon at TSP's mouth (or fingertips if you will )...it is also what he runs on his car if I am not mistaken....
Who is telling the truth here?!?
