Default Overlap and lope question

From the extensive reading I have done on this forum (and other websites), I have come to the realization that lope is pretty much directly related to overlap. The question that keeps popping in my head is, would two cams of differing durations lope and idle about the same if they have the same overlap? The two cams in question are Thunder Racing's TR224 on a 112, and LG's G5X1E (228/232 on a 115). Both have 0 degrees overlap. I have heard many a TR224 idle clip, all of which have had extremely loud, catless exhausts, and I have heard one G5X1E on a Vette with a Z06 Ti exhaust. The Vette lope didn't seem anywhere near as noticeable as the TR224's I have heard, and I'm wondering if it's just the catback, or if the different cam specs also have an impact on lope. Would the two sound the same on the same car because of the identical overlap?

They should sound about the same or atleast very close. As far as the idle each cam is a little different. One might like 850 and the other around 1000. All depends on that specific cam.
