:/ seems sketchy to go carb... go efi.. all the work is done for you, i mean your putting in an ls2 so use an ls2 computer and all the parts... or the ls1 parts and computer on the ls2 from what i know it shouldnt take much if anything to make it work... all those sensors really are your friends man

You should get a big kick out of the new article in Car Craft. They bolted a carb on an iron, truck 6.0, stabbed a cam in it and made 480 hp!!! They used an MSD box I beleive to run the coils. Check it out!
FWIW, I would still run EFI. You can run a carb style intake w the injecter rails, then put the trottle body in the carb location. Still get the old school look, w the new school advantages!

Ls2 Carbureted Engine 625 Hp
In answer to the question about switching an LS2 to carb...I just finished one for a magazine project. Just ran it on the engine dyno Friday Oct 31. Pulled 625.4 HP at 6800 rpm and 534 lb-ft torque at 5200 rpm. On 94 octane pump gas. Fairly easy build.
Engine was bored and stroked to 403 CID. Hydraulic roller Crane cam 571 lift and 256 duration. Scat stroker crank, Scat forged rods, Hardland-Sharp roller rockers, Edelbrock Super Victor manifold, Edelbrock 800 cfm carb, Trick Flow heads, JE pistons. CR is 10.8:1. MSD coil packs and MSD timing control module. Easy to setup for carb. Don't have to use GM Perf Parts manifold. Achieved 536 HP on first pull. To make long story short, bumped total timing to 31 degrees and moved rev limit (easy to do on MSD timing box). Runs like a monster. Uses OE crank and cam sensors.
If you have any questions, feel free to call me at my office ...Birchwood Automotive Group 330-435-6347. Ask for Mike. Glad to provide advice.

I recently built an LS2 with carb setup....
This engine made 625.4 HP at 6800 rpm on a Superflow engine dyno.....screams.
Very easy to go to carb setup.... I used an Edelbrock Super Victor Jr intake manifold...bolts right up with no hassle at all. I used an Edelbrock 800cfm carb.
My other components included: new 6.0L LS2 block, Lunati forged crank and forged rods, JE forged pistons, Trick Flow heads, Comp Cams roller cam...we bored and stroked to 403 cubic inches. For ignition, I used MSD coilpacks and an MSD timing control module...plugs right into the coil harness. Very easy.
