i take my car down to alocal place where they do state inspections, and they happen to notice that i dont have cats???

i know the obvious, i wont get the sticker but will they..... i dunno maybe turn my plate # to the cops or some stupid crap like that...i live in a small college town north of houston...if i remember correctly all they really do here is check your lights, insurance, brakes.....
