Default poll: should i or should i not...

hi yall just wanted some opinions... i have a 1979 trans am with a 403 olds and it is all numbers matching... or that is what i was told... any way... i have a friend of mine that is going to sell me a L98 with a 700r4 and harness with computer out of a 1990 trans am for 400.00... my question is should i get it and put it in the car or should i stay with the lazy 403... thanks for your input....

I'd go to the 400-455+ Pontiac, but you can make power with the 403 Olds also.
IMO, the L98 is just completely wrong for that car, ...
But I'm a more of a traditionalist, ..., 455+ Pontiac would be the way I'd go, yet make it look stock. (Only because I'm not an 'OldsmobileFan'.)

I'd go old school big block pontiac 455 like previously stated, or go high tech. Don't see the point in upgrading to 1990 tech.

And, obvioulsy, I think and LSX engine would be cool also. For all the trouble of conversion, I would want more power, and less weight than the L98.
