I am eliminating the smog stuff on my ls1, do I still need the evaporator control valve? Can I just plug it up?

Yes you can eliminate it ok.. but 2 things.. 1)the PCM will need to be deleted out of the codes and 2) you will have to content with the tanks fuel vapors.. if you just plug it.. then you will need to vent the tank. some people just leave it open (the tube), other put a charcole caninster on it, other have tried to put a valve of some type on the end.

If you plug it, As the fuel is used in the tank, it needs to be repace with air(reason for venting the tank). as you park it in a enclosed garage, you might start smelling fuel (in the house ??) vapors.

It is not taking up an noticable HP.. just leave it, unless your tring to clean up the engine bay.
