Default 10 bolt questions with cam

ive been reading alot lately on rearends and gears im planning on puttin the ms4 in my car and i dont have the money to buy a rearend like alot of guys but someone had mentioned u can build a 10 bolt up to handle 4.10s with out any worrys if so how is this done and for how much also are 4.10s the way to go with an ms4? or is there any cheaper way to get a rear that will hold up?

10 bolts are hit or miss...some last...some don't. Don't blow money trying to make it stronger because it's a losing battle.

No there is no cheaper way to get a rear to hold up...you suck it up and buy a 12 bolt/9 inch/dana 60.

If you stay away from drag radials and slicks , it will increase it's survival odds , but keliente is right , they aren't real stout and are the weak link in the drivetrain. A m6 transmissission is even more hard on 'em.

Witha MS4, gear is certainly going to be needed for good street manners, not putting a tire on the car will help you. But at the same time, its probably not going to put the time down that one would expect with good traction.
