Default FS: LS6 long block Houston $1100

My friend is selling his stock LS6 from his 01 Z06. The motor had 56k miles when it was removed.

He had the car dynoed down in Florida when he bought the car, it made 562rwhp w/ 8psi on a D1 s/c setup. He took the car back to Missouri and wanted to have it rechecked for the different weather, and he also had a new clutch and ARP rod bolts installed at that time. The shop went ahead and installed the parts, and re-tuned the car, and it made 582rwhp at there shop. Now, about 150 miles later, his first time getting on the car, he noticed that it was smoking quite a bit. So after looking it over, it appeared that it had probably lost a ring land. He took the car to another shop to have it inspected, leak down, compression test, etc....and the car showed low compression on 3 of the cylinders (1, 3, and 7). So after that, he just went ahead and ordered a new 408ci Iron long block and pulled his 346ci out.

So he is trying to sell the long block, the cylinder walls look and feel good, neither us nor the shop that checked the motor out could find any scratches in the walls, but the pistons have not been removed to fully inspect it. The motor comes with the block, crank, rods, pistons, ARP rod bolts (150 miles of use), LS6 heads, cam, valve springs, etc...The motor does not come with the LS6 intake or wiring harness or sensors...that was all used on his 408ci.

The motor is located in Houston, TX. He is looking to get $1100 for the setup.

Thanks,
Scott
