Default home porting

im thinking about getting a stock set of heads and home porting them and then getting them flow benched to see if it worked.

is it even worth going through the garage porting to make a difference. or would id be adviseable to put it on the car after doing so.

I have not personally done any port work on the LSx heads, just bowl cleanup - but from what I have heard, they are very picky and if you are not checking each step on the bench while coming up with your final port, you can actually do more harm than good. Not like the older chevy heads where you could just port by feel and know that the numbers will be better.
