Im using this with my new 85mm MAF,and If im looking at this right, the connector that used to go to the air temp. sensor is now connecting to the 3 to 5 wire adapter. is this right? I hope it is because im not seeing any other connectors coming off the main wiring harness for the air temp sensor the goes to the lid.

Yep, the 85mm MAFs (well at least the LS6 ones) have the IAT in the MAF housing.
