Short block Anyone know about how much a good used short block would be? (LS1) I need to do somethin about this smoking issue and a new build is out of budget at the moment.

yeah... I mean I dunno I've seen some prices in the $2800-$3500 range for a forged shortblock it's just coming up with the money soon enough to do anything about it. I don't want to have to spend twice for an install ya know? I wish LME and HPE posted price sheets for builds to have an idea. Ellis would it be a more reasonable price to just have you build one and spec a new cam to go with it?

actually those prices are optimistic to be honest. I just paid for my forged shortblock from LME $4,200.00 plus shipping. I bet Ellis would through some forged pistons in my pullout and hook you up better then those prices. if he doesnt actually put it in a fox body. hit him up. ~Guy
