Angry 1st gear grinding?

90% of the time when I let the clutch out in first gear there is a terrible grinding noise that lasts untill the clutch is all the way disengaged. If anybody knows where I should start with this problem I would be much obliged! clutch still feels good and doesnt slip when I get on it.

Your wording is confusing, this happens when you're pressing the pedal down or bringing it up? If go from a stop in 2nd gear it still does it right?
