driving open header question
im putting my qtp's lts on this week at my friends shop then was thinking of driving it about 15 miles to a local exhaust guy i know to build a custom ory that includes my e-cutout. Whats your thoughts? Should i tow it or drive it. I can probably get it towed for cheap cause i know someone with a tow truck but driving would be even cheaper. But dont want issues. Oh yeah i have sims and extensions so the secondary o2s wont be a problem but what about the upstream o2's.

you are fine to run open headers... the thing is that everyone will say that you run the risk of burning out your O2 sensors... but honestly how could you not want to run open pipes

I drove about the same distance ~12 miles to get my true duals done. I just unplugged the 02 sensors and ran in open loop. Other the ungodly sound the the confusing looks you get from other people, all is good.

just finished installing heads today and running open header till i get my x pipe in and it runs like ****. dont hook your o2s up cause it will pick up air and throw lean codes and run like crap mine did.

Drive it, it's definitely an experience.
I drove it for roughly a week, it's loud as hell. You can't even try to hide the sound, it will reflect off of other cars and just echo even louder.

Also drove my car open headered to the exhaust shop. Yea, the faces you will get are well worth the ringing ears....lol. You gotta do it, you'll always regret it if you don't..
