Default Bad Day at the dyno

Well today I took the car to go get it tuned. the Day started out bad since we had to leave a little latter than planned do to some freezing rain and stuff the night before. But we made the 120mile trip to get my car tuned. Drove the car there. I had driven the car around saturday and it was great. The car was acting a little stupid on the way down to the tuners. But we got there and go situated put the car on the dyno and did a little driveability tunning and got ready to do some WOT tunning

So we got to make the first pull I put it in 4 gear and lay into the throttle and car start climbing and sounds great. Then at 5000rpm BANG. This noise was hellishly loud inside the car and everyone around the car jumped. My first thought was the bottum end or tranny due to the strange sounds as it was spining down. As it turns out the rear u-joint and the driveshaft are destroyed. Not sure which one went first but an ear is broken off the driveshaft.

But from that one pull I know that at 4800rpm with little to no tuning the car made 458rwhp and 502rwtq that was making 6# at that point. I have an 8# pulley on the car right now. I can't wait to see what kinda of numbers the car makes with a little more tuning and all 8psi at 6000+rpms

But the day ended with a nice long trip home with the car on a roll back. (Thank God for AAA+ with 100 miles of free towing) What a day

yeah, it could been the bottom end or tranny like you said. i'd be happy with the problem you had instead of my bottom end going.

goodluck my friend, i wanna see more numbers soon
