Question Did I break a rear U Joint?

If I broke this today while leaving a stop light pretty hard, how would I know it?

Car made a loud POP back there, I heard a pinging of some sort on the pavement and then it started vibrating under medium acceleration. Car still moves but somethings weird. I looked under the car and didn't see anything broken but haven't been able to get UNDER the car for a look. Does this sound like a U joint or strap holding it to the yoke broke off?

Most of the time when a u joint goes, the drive shaft will no longer be attached. You would probably know it for sure. It could be partially broke and has not come off though.
