4.10 axle retainer diff, block??
I've got a 2002 WS6 M6 came w/ 3.42's i wanted to go w/ 4.10's but a couple of ppl where i live said there would be a problem trying to get the paddle block which holds the axles back in place w/ the added thickness of the 4.10 ring gear is this true?? do they make a different axle retainer??? or can the stock 1 be ground down to fit w/out causing any problems??? th rear in the car is pieced together from 3 diffrnt rear ends so it whines like hell i know its not the diff. just the gears causing all the comotion back there i eventually want to go w/ a 9" but trying to keep the cost down as much as possible since i just had to redo the tranny that was a real cheap venture but worth the $ not to be stuck in 4th gear anymore. any help or suggestions plz......

Over the past weekend I installed Motive 4.10 gears in my M6. The only problem I had was with the C-clips on the axles. I had to take out my ABS or TC (which ever) sensor to get the clips in. I don't know if I had to do that to remove them. I had my brother helping me.

I guess its all in setup. . Very little while cruising. Mine whines a little when increasing speed. Can't really hear it when I'm in 5th, but I can when in 6th. I removed 1 pinion shim and that was it.
