Default 1st gear shift point off

i was checking my logs on hptuners and it appears that 1st gear shifts at 5750-5800 rpm, even though i have it set to 6000. 2-3 shifts just fine. i do have a 3200 stall, check the log from when i was running nitto's and e/t streets (someone told me e/t are a tiny bit taller.)
also, if t/m is removed, should there be any drop in spark advance between shifts?? mine looks like it drops off a cliff

posting your scan log & tune would be helpful. As for TM, if TRANSMISSION TM is turned off, no, there shouldnt be much if any drop in Spark other then if you hitting different cells in your spark table.

In my copy of EFI Live, there are two different trans TM categories. One is responsible for limiting mishaps and has an enable/disable setting (ie accidental shifts). The other is setup with a table for each shift and regulates how much timing to pull for the shifts. Are you sure you adjusted the TM for each shift?

As for the shift point in first, I'd go based on what you see on a consistent basis. If it's set at 6K but always shifts at 5.8K, then bump it up to 6.1K and see what it does. I noticed with my A4 it would tend to shift early with traction and sometimes kiss the rev limiter when the tires were spinning. The idea is to work with one of the two enablers (RPM or MPH), set it where you want, and set the other one lower than desired. Then based on how it performs, apply the fudge factor so it really shifts where you want.

Click Go Advanced and post it with the Manage Attachments button. Stick it in a .zip file if you need to.

You still had some TM in it. Shortened your shift times too.
