Default Tire size vs Wheel size

Will 315/35r-17 Nitto drag radials fit a 17x9.5 zr1 wheel.The salesman at Discount Tire say they will.

The 315 is to wide for the 9.5 wheel read the sticky at the top.

Always check the manufacturer's specs. Here's the link: http://www.nittotire.com/#index%2Etire%2Ent555r%2Esizes

You'll note the range of approved sizes is 10.5"-12". You can go smaller if you want but the tire won't perform up to spec. I run a 275/40/17 555r on my stock 8" rim. It's fine for drag racing, but I can feel it want to roll around when cornering, so I don't use it on the street any more than I have to.

I think he wasmore interested in making a sale vs giving good advise,.Ithink they must work on commission.

They will fit, but it's not recommended by most people.

i second that. a friend of mine had it done and it fits, but i wouldn't suggest doing it. i have the chrome 10-spokes and wanted 315's but looks like im gonna go with 285. good luck
