I am getting ready to do a clutch replacement and trans refresh. I thought I would replace the U joints and have the driveshaft balanced at a shop while its out since I don't have a torch to melt the plastic on the stock U joints.

I called the shop nearest me and he quoted me 175 to swap U joints and balance the shaft and thats with me bringing him all the parts. That seems outrageous.

I have been getting a vibration between 70 and 78 mph, tried balancing the tires that didn't help so I thought I would get the driveshaft balanced to elliminate that possibility.
