Default Best way to replace oil pan gasket

What is the best way to replace the oil pan gasket without taking the engine out of the car. I need to know sooon, because i am going to find out one way or another this weekend.

It is riveted on so your going to have to pull the pan completely off the car. What kind of car are we talking about here?
