I have it and love it. Driveability is great and it makes good power across the board. Not too hard on the valvetrain either.

There are a lot of threads in this section about that cam. There hasn't been a single user to ever post the first negative comment about this cam. It's a love-it or love-it relationship.

That's the guy I talked to long ago about how he liked the cam... too bad he's selling. I also have never seen a single person that didn't like it. Gillbot made 399rwhp on Mac Mids and through an auto.

I also think it's been like 123 mph cam-only too. It's one of those perfectly sized cams in my mind.

Most importantly the LS1 is way cooler than the LT1... just joking man. I'm sure you'll really like it. It drives great and pulls like mad up top. Good luck with the car, and let us know how it goes. Congradulations.

Another Tr230 owner here. I also love it, and no drivability issues what-so-ever.

That cam works with cars with less than ideal exhausts right? Having cats on there might be why he chose it. Anyways I also have never heard anything bad about the 230/224 cam

Nope, other way around. with the 230/224 The intake valves are hung open longer then the exhaust valves, making up for a "non ideal" intake set-up.
