LT1 Firebird auto console in LS1 TA problem

LT1 Firebird auto console in LS1 TA problem I like how the auto LT1 Firebird console looks over the LS1 (whatever). It's curvier and looks a little more stylish I guess. But anyways I popped it in my car and noticed that when I shift in to park, the shift lever moves the console forward a bit, and then when I shift it in to 1st it moves it back a bit. Like it's not fitted 100%, rather 99. Anything I have to cut or mod to get it to fit flush so it's not always moving around?
