Default 5.3L cooling needs, '63 C10 truck...

I'm wondering if a 3 row radiator, ( 17 3/8"H X 25" W X 2" D), designed for a 283 V-8 with A/T, that is the largest OE radiator that's a direct fit, will have enough cooling capacity for a 5.3L and 4L60E conversion. This radiator is copper.

I hope it will 'cause thats all I got for my 383ci SBC that I'm putting in a '65 C-10. If not I'll be looking at one of those $1000 aftermarket gimmicks.

Just finished my Dads 5.3 and I used a new 2 row stock replacement rad. It works fine. Runs at 190*F.

Just put a 5.3 in my 66 and set in a LS1 camaro aluminum radiator with dual cooling fan setup. Truck never gets over 200. It was very easy to fit and looks great with the all aluminum motor. I know it is not a direct replacement but it is a cheap and easy fix if you find a nice used setup. All we did was cut down the lower brackets and made a simple hold down for the top. Probably took 30 min at the most to get it in.
