Why is KR coming in on high rpm in 2nd gear?

Why is KR coming in on high rpm in 2nd gear? Hello and thanks for looking,
I left the car in 'competitive mode' and did a high speed run, and in 2nd gear(A4 trans) at 5120rpm I got 7* of KR, and it tapered down to about 3* by the top of 3rd gear... My question is why is this happening? My a/f was running right about 13. Could this be a result of 'competitive mode' working the 'active handling'? Do I need to turn of traction control all together and see if I still get it? (I don't think it would help). I would hate to add more fuel, do I need to pull some timing?
