The TSP offroad Y on a VERT?
Well, I just got done installing my pacesetter longtubes. That was a ****** blast
I can't seem to get the Y-pipe to line up correctly. Does anyone know if it will even fit a convertible?

It'll fit. I didnt have the patience after the header install. I just called my local police station, told them my muffler fell off, the car is loud, and i am making my way to the local Mieneke to get it fixed. Do just that, get yourself to a local shop and have them get it on for 40 bucs and save yourself the headache. The pipes going into the header need to be expanded.

I did the Pacesetter long tubes a couple of months ago and it was not the bad getting the headers on. I did remove the oil filter and the little knipple thingy just about it. That was it, not block grinding for me. Headers were on in no time. I also installed a TSP cat'd y-pipe and I have to be honest, I will not put one on again. After spending several more hours on it, I finally got it on, but its not 100% right yet. The drivers cat is way to close to the torque arm and fuel line. The paint on the y-pipe also rubs off and gets all over everything.
If I had it to do over (and I still might) I would install the headers and bring it somewhere to have a y-pipe made.

Ok, I was worng. It definately fits. You just have to put in together right. After spending many hours putting the headers on, I was a little tired.
I went out today and the Y-pipe went together pretty easy. I had to muscle it in a few spots, but it wasn't too bad. It took maybe 30 mins total.
Here are a few pics...
The exhaust clamps are temporary, it will be welded soon.

Yeah, I wasnt too happy about having to remove it.
I saw that a lot of people removed theirs and couldn't tell a difference.
Time will tell if I notice anything. It is raining today, I really want to go out and beat on this thing.
