Default Help fitting 5.3L in offroad buggy

I just picked up a 2001 5.3L motor for an offroad buggy project that I've been working on. It looks like I'm going to have some issues with the height of the motor. Can anyone point me to info on swapping the truck intake for something shorter like the LS1 unit, FAST, LS6? I found a couple of references to swapping them out which mentioned needing a different water pump. However, the post was pretty vague as to the details. Also, would a a cam swap be in order to better match the car like intake?

I think the LS1 manifold will fit but you need the matching injectors and rail too. If they fit, I have a complete set I will make you a package deal on. I switched to a carb so I don't need mine.
