anyone been to camp korean villiage or Ar Rutbah? just wondering if anyone else has been to these palces. I was ther ein 04-05
I am interested to hear about how things are now. I know they put a sand berm around the city.

I hear KV is a lot better than it used to be. No more tent city (they built buildings), I hear they have a movie place and a chow hall now.

I was in KV the first few months of 06. They have buildings to live in & were building a very nice gym when I left. The chow hall is decent since its run by all Marines for the most part. You can go in anytime you want and get drinks & snacks. They let people in to watch football games at night also. Its pretty boring there, but it was nice for me since I got to get away from the head honchos back at Al Asad. I might have a pic I can send you, I will see what I can find.

I was in KV in 04/05 we stayed in tents that had holes and only had ac/heat some of the time. the "chow hall" was only breakfast and dinner (MRE for lunch) and only served tray rats.
I heard about the berm they setup around the city. the north side must have been a pain in the *** to setup.
I kinda miss being out in that area

I was in KV in 04/05 as well. They were putting up the buildings and tearing down tent city when we left. I was with the arty battery there. I have no idea how it is now.
