Hey guys... I have a friend with a 91 chevy swb truck with i beleive a 4.3 m5. We are making this his project truck and wants to make it a kick-butt street truck. we already have done a bunch of exterior mods now he wants to drop in a 383 ls1 with matching T-56. Does anyone know how well the engine fits and especially the tranny? will the shifter have to be relocated in the truck? will the mounts have to be chaned? etc....?

you''re probably gonna need bucket seats or modify the bench seat to run the T56, there are more than a few OBS/LS1 swaps out there that i have seen and all look very painless..

I have an almost identical swap, only it is only a slightly modified 5.3 engine.
