Default Guys that went from M/T ET Street to M/T DR Chime in

Presently I have ET Streets, 26" x 11.5" on Chrome ZR1 type 16" x 8" wheels. Best 60' is a 1.64xx at Atco. I can't run lower than about 18 lbs, ( very heavy car ) without the car doing "The Ali Shuffle" at the top of the track. I would like to try the MT 275/50-15 DR on a 15" x 10" x 7.5" B.S. rim, but don't want to spend the money if the ET's work just as good. I still can't idle/mash the car without spinning at the track or street, but can preload to 1200-1500 and mash it, at the track/street no problem. Plan on making a little more HP next year, so I need the best traction and would like the stability of a Radial up top. The ET's hook really well, and have rarely let me down, except one occassion, ( 30*-28* temp last year everyone was spinning ). MT DR's worth the money in 15" size or is the ET Street still the way to go if driving to the track?

Nobody? I think I'll change the title so the subject is not so narrow.

Which is better, 16" M/T ET Streets or 15" M/T ET DR? Base this on experience with both or by just opinion or observed results.

if the E/Ts dead hook then you won't gain anything, if they spin a bunch, then I'd look at suspension setup first.

You may see the same results from the radials as far as 60' goes. As far as the top of the track, the radials will be much more stable. Do what I did and find someone to trade you for your et streets for the radials in that size
