Default 1"7/8 headers for G-body?

I noticed some guys using F-body 1" 3/4 tubes for G-bodys with a little modifing. Anybody using 1"7/8 headers for G- bodys? If so, what brand? Thanks!

It was a pain but at the time nobody made headers for the car. Now they do and if I had to do it over again, I would just buy the ones sold by Schoenfeld. They are 1 3/4" but thats plenty big for most conversions.

Hi: Has anyone ever called Kooks headers to see if they ever made any custom headers for the G Bodies? If they did they should have the plans in stock and they can make you another set. If they never made any custom headers someone has to be the guinea pig and take their car to their shop to have a set custom made. I think they are in Long Island New York? A friend of mine got a set of nice headers for a 78 cutlass with a 455 olds engine but they all ready had the plans for them. He paid $600 but they are top quality. Hope this helps

I begged Patriot to modify a set off their Ford headers for my Chevy II. I had tried the Fords for size and they were perfect, just needed the LS1 flanges instead of the Ford. Seemed easy to me but got turned down at every step. I said I would prototype them and buy them and tell the folks here that they were available .
