18x10.5 tire??'s
i got in on the z06 non-motorsport GP, and im shure they will arrive sometime. what are going to be the biggest set of tires i can fit on these rims. i dont want to deal with a bunch of rubbing issues but takeing a heat gun and a hammer to my inner fender isnt a problem. am i going to be able to run 315/30/18's on the car or am i going to face alot of issues?

I wouldnt run a 315 on a 10.5 rim.
The only 315 that would work on a 10.5 are Nitto 555r's because they run narrow but I dont think they make them for an 18" wheel.
Get 295's and you'll be fine.

I got in on the same GP, I hope they arrive soon.
I did my research and decided that 295/35-18s would suit me best on the rear, and 275/35-18s is what I chose for the front. I've already got my tires sitting here waiting for the wheels to arrive...BFG g-force KDW's front, and BFG g-force Drag radials for the rear

you'll be okay. there is one tire i researched that they suggested a 10.5-12inch width. i can't remeber what tire exactly, but i believe it was a drag radial tire. also, you can send your wheel out to get widened in 1/2inch increments. i'm going get the black Z06 wheels with 17x8.5 up front and 17x9.5 for the rear, but send the rear out to get widened to 17x11s.
good-luck
almost forgot, Nitto makes a 305/??/18 tire that will fit a 10.5 wheel, but it's a 26.5 tall tire. not a BIG deal, but will affect your speedo slightly.

well im looking at the BFG dr for the car. a buddy of mine(also a ls1 driver) works at discount and suggested these tires for me. i dont feel like getting them widened due to a) cost and b) safety. i don't trust widened rims. nitto doesn't make a 315 DR, thats one fo the reasons im going with the BFG's, im looking for the biggest piece of rubber i can stick out back and not rub big gashes in my tire.
