Default troubleshooting miss

Trying to figure out were to start to find this miss.What the car does is breaks up around 5700 and also sometimes if I'm crusing in 6th around 2500 and go wot it hesitates very badly.It sounds to me like a fuel problem. What do you all think?

might be a bad opti..... usally signs of a bad opti show in upper rpm miss fire.... do u have any codes????

No codes,my car does runs really well pulls real good until I hit 5700 then it starts to break-up. The opti does have over 100.000 miles on it!

Valvesprings would be suspect too especially if you used the the LT4 springs. With 100K on the opti that is a good place to start, it is a cap and rotor and as such are wear items, the fact they lasted this long is a testamant to how GOOD a piece it really is.
