What way to go suggestions wanted
Okay guys need some help here I had an unforunate accident at the track my inlet hat came off and the D1SC sucked in something it shouldnt have an bent the blades backward and etc etc. Well good thing being an ex jet mechanic and use to repairing compressor blades I was able to get the blades bent back and it acually still makes 13psi but kinda comes on slow. So after exhausting my search for a new head unit as I need this asap. I am looking at 3 to 4 different ways to go here
First- remove all forced induction parts and return to NA but add some giggle gas for those needed times.
Second- try and score a used turbo kit and install that.
Third- wait it out for a used or new D1SC headunit but dont know what to do till then
Forth- wait it out for a used or new F1 headunit but again dont know what to do till then
Im really shocked at how long it takes to just get a head unit, you'ld think they had these things built in stock

Patience would be nice but have too much going on so trying to see how long it will take.

I'd go for an F1A myself. Bob

I would pick up a used D1 here. There are always several around for a good price. I would then send your old head unit back to ATI to get fixed. After it is fixed, you could then sell it. The F1 head unit I am sure is attractive, but I would not run one without going with 8-rib pulleys. Also the F1 head unit will require a new bracket for the fbody. Getting a used D1 will be the quickest to get back into the game. Just my $0.02
