Default Knocking after changing oil types, is this common?

Ok guys, maybe a dumb question, but Im fishing for a lifeline here...Im hearing a knocking that sounds like it is coming from the center of the engine (right under the intake). It showed up about a month ago and that is right around the time I switched to 5-30 Castrol. Before that I never used synthetic oil. I used 10-30 Valvoline. The car only has 55k miles on it. Another peice of info, 6 months ago I had the heads/cam done. Could it possibly be that this knocking is due to switching oil types or am I looking at a new bottom end here? Over the past month it has not gotten any louder and it is only at startup for about 30 seconds till the engine is warm. What do you think?
