Default Decent 450 rwhp package needed

Been in forced induction so long, i have zero ideas whats out there thats remotely affordable... friend is looking for a huge cam (wants undriveability and nasty lope i guess) and decent heads to go along..but , of course, has a lower budget. Any recommendeations. He was wanting a 240x 240x duration on a 108 or 110... as for head, Heck, last time I bought heads, or looked at them, was from Jay at Absolute...help a brutha out.

BTW, 02 Trans am with headers and intake only at this point.

Run with Texas speeds MS4 and a good set of heads from them. If he is still not happy throw some happy gas at it.

We have the stage 2.5 5.3l PRC heads that should work well with that application. We can set them up with 1.57 exhaust valves so you have extra exhaust clearance for that tight lobe seperation your looking at

you said low budget,i have no idea what that is in the ls1&2 world. my old set up on a 346ci was 463hp 414tq on a mustang dyno(i had 30hp more on a dynojet). i had AFR 205 heads 59cc,g5x4 cam,fast 90mm intake,N/K th-body,kook 1 3/4 headers/offroads,a cutout,asp pullies,a 85mm mass air,m6 car w/moser 12bolt and 4.11 gears. the car ran 11.1's@mid 120's mph n/a @3,700lbs of weight shifting the trans like a old woman and 10.2's @ 133mph w/ a 150 shot still shifting like a old woman.

i had a similar setup to mike c's. i made 463/402 on a mustang dyno with a T rex cam and GTP stage 2+ heads. Pistons had to be flycut and back up mods consisted of Fast 90/NW 90 tb, QTP 1 3/4 headers, strage 12 bolt w/ 4.30's, asp underdrive pulley, etc.
