Default carbed 5.3

Any idea what kinda power a carbed 5.3 would yield? It would have ported heads and bored to accept 5.7 pistons.

Perhaps I should be more specific:

I am about to swap into my third gen firebird a 5.3 engine. The wiring for FI is daunting, but I love the LsX based engines. All aluminum are too expensive for me so I bought a 5.3 from a junkyard for 500 bucks including tranny (not bad, huh?). So, I hear carbs really let any LSx based engine breathe and are simpler to install. I was curious if anybody has power numbers for said swap including the bore and ported heads, or stock.

Thats a great price. How are you going to control the tranny if your going with a carb? Or did you get a older non-computer controlled trans?

I'm actually switching over to a manual trans, but I just thought that 500 bucks for both was really good.
