Default Car surges (RPMS rise when clutch is in)

The rpms raise to 2000 when the clutch is put in like when coming to a stop at a light and take around 10 seconds to fall to normal idle speed. Can this be tuning related? the tunes been looked at a few times by different shops. Im stumped. Car has a 232/234 cam.

Clean your maf and check your air filter. It seems Like you might be getting a bump in timing becuase your pcm thinks its getting a load.

Ive actually swapped MAF sensors and I think the air filter is new as well. Thanks for the reply.

Change your Throttle Cracker Activate Speed to 15 phm and Deactivate to 13 mph.

Also change the Idle Speed correction time to 2 sec's.

That should take care of it (so as long your idle airflow tables are correct).

I'd bet the idle airflow tables are wrong.

The guys at MTI took care of me. It was partly my throttle body, ive read the Holley TBs tend to be finicky. As far as I can tell all is well now!
