pinging coming from engine

pinging coming from engine i was coming home tonite and so i thought it was a beautiful night to test my camaro, so i floored it and it took off like usual, but when i got home i noticed a very slight ping/very slight knock coming from the engine, i have no idea wat it could be, can anyone think of anything, because i am little nervous, any help would be great, by the way this is the first time i heard this noice, help please
