Default 4L60E slipping

last year when i had this car at the track it would shift fine unless the rpms were way high like at the end of the 1/4 mile. sometimes id have to let off the gas to let it shift. shifted fine if you were driving normally, but passing or racing where the throttle was mashed, slip. Parked it for the winter, today its been out for about a week and on the way home from work when i noticed that it was revving instead of accelerating. before i could make it home i only had 1st and 2nd if i shifted manually. time for a rebuild or could it be something simpler. checked the fluid and it was fine a little dirty but where it was supposed to be. i had actually changed it last year thinking that it would help out. any ideas?? thanks

Sounds like the trans to me too. Hopefully not, but it definitely sounds like it. I'm not sure what else it could be if the fluid is fine. One good thing is you can get a high stall converter now and put that in at the same time as the new tranny. Don't forget to get a tranny cooler too.

I am from GR too. Shoot me a PM if I can be of any assistance.
