Default Question about DCR with my setup *UPDATE*

with my cam , stock bottom end and pistons, stock gaskets, and stock ls1 heads i got a DCR of 7.58

i know that ideal is supposed to be 7.5-8.5, but how much better would say a 8.3 perform than my 7.58. should i be concerned or is the 7.58 good.

opinions?

Default DCR Numbers

I'm looking at 8.13 for my 402. I remember reading (In the CAM Sticky) that 8.25 was a safe upper limit for the street. It was a posting by J-Rod.

I see a lot of numbers that are higher, with happy owners, but I'm gonna keep it in the low 8's. Who knows what king of crappy gas will be available in a year or so.
