Default Think my alpine HU is doing a protect mode?

Sometimes when i am blasting crazy songs in my camaro, it shuts down all the output to my speakers. The bass signal through rca still works. I have an older alpine hu with some infinity speakers i dont think i am maxing them out or anything. If i shut the system off and turn it back on, it is fine again.

Any ideas? anyway to adjust this for a higher threshold maybe?

How long does it play before shutting down? How long have you been experiencing the problem? Has anything else changed? Is the unit hotter now than it used to be? I asume the weather is warming up, did you have this HU last summer or did it get installed over the winter?
