Default diagnosing a ls1 crate motor?

As i plan to do a hybrid conversion that involves a ls1 crate, a asa (american speed asociation) ecm & wiring harness from gm performance catalog with a t-56 crate tranny, including hinson's conversion parts, ect, ect, all in a nissan s14.

If vehicle is 1996 & newer it will have an obd2 port, can it be reused (wired into he new gm ls1 harness or ecm) and work (to diagnose, ect) on new gm ls1 motor and tranny? would you know if this specific electronics would connect to a t56?

would the obd2 come with crate engine order, in the gm controller, all to diagnose, log, scan, tune, ect, for a properly running engine.

email:Cenaiko@hotmail.com

Thanks, appreciate it.

If you get the wiring harness for like an 02 F-body you will have everything you need and then some as far as wiring goes. You will actually have to modify the F-body harness and take out some things. GMPP is talking about releasing a standalone harness but they haven't yet have they? Either way modified F-body or GMPP standalone the harness will in fact be standalone and you will be able to tune the engine etc. thru the the computers OBD2 port.
